So I can cross another room off the list of getting it “done” done. As in REALLY done. As in, not looking at little projects (or in this case, chairs) that are left unfinished (half painted) and can cross it off my list.
Here is how the office looks today:
Not much has changed from this view. Still loving my wall of cabinets. Although, true be told, my office is RARELY this clean. 😉
This is still close to what I had before. I added a new picture from little miss above the headphones that she made in kindergarten. Love it. And the giraffe blanket? Well my office is in the basement and gets cold. Especially in the winter. I have a space heater but often need a little more warmth. My sister bought me this blanket as I LOVE giraffes but when I was a kid EVERYONE bought me giraffe stuff. She has declared she is now the only one allowed anymore. LOL! Good thing I LOVE it!!
This is the BIG change in the room. The kids’ area is done. I have blue chairs (check!) and I put up some clipboards from the dollar store for them to create their own gallery as they create stuff. I love having them in the room with me and they both love drawing and art. It’s a win win.
The large gallery wall in the office is the same. I love it still. If you are paying CLOSE attention to the time shown on my computer, you will notice the clock is wrong. It’s broken but still ticks while stuck on this time. I just haven’t gotten around to fixing it yet.
Small gallery wall of diplomas and degrees has not changed. I LOVE having the clipboards right next to me as I work. It is what inspired me to do the same thing over the kids’ desk.
I still love my phone handset on a hook next to my desk as well. I got the idea off another blog and just love the look and organization of it.
This has to be one of my favourite things in my office though. It is a small wood/tin heart that I purchased at a country store years ago. I love the size and the message it reminds me every day.
Next week, I will open up some of the MANY doors in here and show you what is lurking inside. It’s not TOO scary.
